Stéphane Pereira is a film editor working in commercials, features, and documentaries, with a career spanning Europe and America. As a child, he lived in France, Western Africa, Alaska, and California, where he graduated from high school before returning to Paris for film school. He began his career as a freelance editor cutting documentaries, before moving into commercials and feature films.
The core of his work is in advertising, where he has cut campaigns for all the major agencies. He has collaborated with directors including Antoine Bardou-Jacquet, Taïka Waititi, Reynald Gresset, Martin Werner, Grant Heslov, Alex Prager, Joel Edgerton, Mati Diop, Matthieu Mantovani, Vincent Lobelle, Laurent Chanez, Frédéric Planchon, Sean Ellis, Paolo Roversi, Romain Gavras, Traktor, H5, Bart Timmer, and Joshua Neale — several of which became long-standing collaborations. His commercial work has featured talent ranging from George Clooney, Beyoncé, Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, and Leonardo DiCaprio to football champions Zinedine Zidane, Eric Cantona, Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Alongside his commercial work, Stéphane has edited 15 feature films, including Alain Chabat's Astérix & Obélix : Mission Cléopâtre, Julien Rambaldi's Les Meilleurs Amis du Monde and The African Doctor, and Safy Nebbou's Who You Think I Am. That body of work — moving between broad comedy, character-driven drama, and ensemble storytelling — informs his commercial sensibility, bringing a strong narrative instinct, comedic timing, and tonal versatility into every cut.
Stéphane Pereira joins Bungalow 5, who will be representing him in North America. He is also a member of the editing collective Dearcut.
